Dr James van den Berg
James graduated from Birmingham University Dental School in 1993. He went straight into further vocational training as a general dentist in Ipswich, where he stayed for the next 3 years.
Being interested in the specialist field of periodontics since his undergraduate days, he started further training in 1997 at Queen Mary and The Royal London Hospital Dental School. James completed his Master’s degree in clinical dentistry in 1999 and started work as a clinical lecturer in the field of periodontics at The Royal London Hospital. There, he assisted in teaching, ongoing clinical and lab-based research, as well as in private practice limited to periodontics.
James migrated to Australia in December 2001. He started work in 2 practices, specialising in periodontics. He still works in one of these Melbourne practices to this day.
